Chaplain Riegel was assigned to chaplaincy duties in the free medical
clinic at Bethel Lutheran Church. Making new friends was one of the bonuses of the deployment. 170+ volunteers were housed and fed at Camp Biloxi. 70+ were housed and fed at Bethel Lutheran Church. Pictured below, we see Laura Pfeifer conversing over breakfast with one of the other volunteers. Norly is doing the same with Christian from UNC-Chapel Hill with other members of the UNC-CH team in the background. |
